Description & Features
Swix PRO Top Speed Black (TSB) Wax is a fluoro-free competition glide wax developed for dirty, contaminated, and high-friction snow. TSB formulas are slightly harder than the standard Top Speed range and use a solid black lubricant to reduce friction while improving durability and resistance to dirt. The wax can be used alone for racing or as a durable base beneath a condition-specific top coat.
Five temperature-specific formulas cover conditions from extreme cold through wet spring snow. TS05B targets cold, dry-friction conditions, TS06B and TS07B cover typical winter temperatures, TS08B performs particularly well on artificial and older transformed snow around freezing, and TS10B is designed for wet, melting, contaminated snow. Swix PRO Top Speed Black is part of the Swix fluoro-free racing glide system and is the current performance category equivalent to the previous HFBWX Black Wolf race wax line.

Wax Formulation & Performance
Solid Black Lubricant
The TSB series uses a solid black lubricant designed to reduce friction in dirty, contaminated, and dry-friction snow. Compared with the standard Top Speed line, the harder TSB formulation provides increased durability and reduced dirt absorption, helping maintain glide as race surfaces become worn or contaminated.
TS05B Turquoise – Cold & Dry Snow
TS05B is the hardest wax in the TSB range and covers 0°F to 14°F (-18°C to -10°C). It combines strong durability with excellent dry-friction properties for cold racing and can be used on fresh, old, or man-made snow. Its melting characteristics also make application more manageable for a wax designed for very cold conditions.
TS06B Blue – Cold Winter Conditions
TS06B covers 10°F to 21°F (-12°C to -6°C) and is the second-hardest formulation in the TSB range. It is designed for typical cold winter race conditions where a durable, low-friction black wax is preferred.
TS07B Violet – Versatile Winter Racing
TS07B is designed for 18°F to 28°F (-8°C to -2°C) and normal winter conditions below freezing. Its hardness makes it convenient to apply and finish, while the formulation performs on artificial snow as well as natural and older transformed snow.
TS08B Red – Transformed & Artificial Snow
TS08B covers 25°F to 39°F (-4°C to +4°C) and provides increased durability with reduced dirt absorption around the freezing point. It has shown particularly strong results on artificial snow and natural, older transformed snow, including when used alone as the race wax.
TS10B Yellow – Wet & Contaminated Snow
TS10B covers 32°F to 50°F (0°C to +10°C) and is designed for wet conditions where new or transformed snow is melting. Compared with standard Top Speed 10, its black formulation absorbs less dirt and is designed to reduce friction in contaminated warm snow.
Fluoro-Free Formula & Packaging Update
Swix PRO Top Speed Black waxes remain fluoro-free. Swix is gradually updating its packaging, so graphics may vary slightly from the images shown, and some newer labels no longer display the fluoro-free icon even though the current wax remains fluoro-free.
