Description & Features

Swix PM World Cup Powder is a molybdenum-infused race-day top-finish powder developed for extreme, abrasive, and contaminated snow conditions. Its wide -30°C to +10°C temperature range makes it a versatile option when snow conditions vary across the course, including dry, medium-dry, and wet snow. The molybdenum additive acts as a solid lubricant to reduce friction where aggressive snow crystals, dirt, and changing moisture can compromise glide.

Designed for competitive alpine racing, Swix PM World Cup Powder provides a durable topcoat for demanding race conditions where maintaining consistent glide is difficult. Apply the powder evenly over the ski base and melt it with a waxing iron at a minimum temperature of 160°C (320°F). The resulting top finish is designed to maintain low friction across rough, high-wear snow and changing race-day conditions.

Wax Formulation & Performance

Molybdenum

Molybdenum works as a solid lubricant that helps lower friction in abrasive, contaminated, and high-wear snow. It supports consistent glide when aggressive snow crystals, dirt, or fluctuating moisture create challenging friction conditions across a race course.

Application

Sprinkle the powder evenly over the prepared ski base and melt it with a waxing iron. Use a minimum iron temperature of 320°F (160°C) to properly melt the powder and create a durable topcoat.
