At the heart of the design is POC's innovative VPD Columns construction. Instead of using a traditional foam back protector, hollow cylindrical columns of VPD are molded onto a durable textile base. This unique structure creates exceptional flexibility while maintaining outstanding impact absorption. Certified to EN 1621-2 Level 2, the highest certification for back protectors, the VPD Max Vest provides elite-level protection without unnecessary bulk or weight.
The lightweight recycled mesh vest offers outstanding breathability, moisture management, and four-way stretch for all-day comfort. The articulated fit conforms naturally beneath a race suit, eliminating the need for a restrictive waistband. The highly flexible protector remains pliable even in extremely cold temperatures, making it ideal for race training, inspection, and competition.
