Determining Ideal Ski Boot Flex

The best method to determine the boot flex is by the athlete's weight. Adding 10-30 lbs to the boot flex results in the ideal weight range for that flex. This can vary based on an athlete's skill level and aggression. These are loose guidelines, and you should consult your local coach or ski expert for more specific recommendations.

Determining Ski Boot Mondo Point (MP) Size:

Ski boots are sized with the mondo point system, which is a direct measurement of the foot in centimeters (cm). You may use the chart below to estimate your mondo point size, or measure the length of your foot in centimeters to determine your size. (Note: There tend to be slight variances between manufacturer's sizing and we recommend that you try on a similar brand or model before ordering to best determine the right size for you.)

Technical Info

REDSTER PROFESSIONAL DUAL STRAP

The upper half of the 55mm Professional Dual Strap strap sits on your liner tongue and the lower half sits on your plastic cuff, providing a very seamless transition from leg to liner to boot. It also incorporates elastic shock absorbing layers that smooths out choppy terrain and an outer static section that provides pure power and energy transmission. The outer static section is adjustable and allows you to fine tune the amount of suspension or responsiveness called for. The Redster version feaures a traditional, push-to-release cam buckle.

Formula Plastics

Engineered for consistency under pressure, Atomic’s Formula Plastics maintain a reliable flex across a wide range of temperatures—delivering predictable performance whether you’re training in the early season or racing in spring conditions. This advanced plastic compound gives athletes enhanced control, confidence at speed, and uncompromised power transfer in every turn—ensuring peak performance all season long.

Anatomic Toe Box

Designed for a more natural fit, Atomic’s Anatomic Toe Box is shaped to provide extra space for the big toe and a closer wrap around the forefoot. This creates a more uniform, pressure-free fit that allows the foot to rest in a neutral stance—improving comfort, balance, and overall control on the hill.

Power Chassis

Atomic’s Power Chassis reinforces the connection between toe and heel, reducing sole flex by 31% for maximum power transmission. The result: improved edge-to-edge response and more efficient energy transfer directly to the ski.

World Cup Liner

Developed in collaboration with top World Cup athletes, Atomic’s World Cup Liner delivers elite-level fit and performance. Crafted with a supple, one-piece microfiber outer and minimal seams, it molds precisely to the foot and boot shell for a race-tight feel, exceptional comfort, and maximum power transmission.

Ankle Retention System

Atomic’s Ankle Retention System enhances heel hold and responsiveness through an innovative lace-routing design. By guiding the laces through precision-engineered loops, this system creates a mechanical advantage over traditional lacing, delivering a tighter, more secure fit and a direct connection to the boot for quicker reaction times and maximum control.
