Description & Features
WEND MF Natural Race Wax is a high-performance race wax designed for alpine racers and ski technicians seeking reliable glide and durability in a fluoro-free formula. These waxes contain a higher concentration of Meadowfoam® plant seed oil, which works similarly to fluorinated wax additives while remaining environmentally responsible.
Meadowfoam® is a plant-based ingredient that improves base penetration, resists dirt and snow contamination, and conditions ski bases for smoother glide. The result is a race wax that performs similarly to traditional mid-fluoro waxes while supporting sustainability and cleaner tuning practices.
Key Features
- Iron-in hot wax
- Race wax for moderate moisture conditions
- High concentration of Meadowfoam® plant seed oil
- Natural plant-based blend
- Biodegradable and fluoro-free formula
Wax Type & Formula
Meadowfoam® Technology
Meadowfoam® plant seed oil provides hydrophobic properties similar to fluorinated wax additives while remaining biodegradable and non-toxic. It helps repel contaminants, improve glide, and increase durability during race conditions.
Natural Hydrocarbon Blend
The MF Natural Race formula combines Meadowfoam® oil with hydrocarbon wax to create a durable race wax that penetrates ski bases effectively and maintains consistent glide across changing snow conditions.
Application
- Apply using a waxing iron
- Drip or crayon wax onto the ski base
- Iron evenly to melt and spread wax
- Allow wax to cool before scraping
- Brush with nylon or horsehair brush for optimal glide
Recommended Tools
- Waxing iron
- Plastic scraper
- Nylon brush
- Horsehair finishing brush
- Fiberlene or base cleaner
