Swix PRO Polar Cold Wax is a fluoro-free glide wax developed for extreme cold, aggressive snow conditions from -26°F to 7°F (-32°C to -14°C). Its hard, durable formulation delivers excellent dry-friction properties and performs particularly well on abrasive man-made snow, making it a strong choice for cold-weather alpine race training and competition.
In low-humidity conditions, Swix PRO Polar can be used alone as a race wax, while its durability also makes it well suited to regular performance-oriented training. The formula is part of Swix's PRO fluoro-free racing glide wax system and is the current performance equivalent to the previous CHX4 wax.

Extreme Cold Performance
PRO Polar is formulated for the very cold end of the Swix glide wax range, where dry friction and aggressive snow crystals become major factors in ski performance. Its hard formulation provides strong durability and low dry friction across its -26°F to 7°F (-32°C to -14°C) temperature range.
Aggressive & Man-Made Snow
The durable formulation is particularly effective on aggressive artificial snow, where hard crystals can increase friction and wear wax quickly. In cold, low-humidity race conditions, PRO Polar can also be used as a standalone race wax.
Fluoro-Free Formula
Swix PRO Polar is part of the Swix fluoro-free racing glide wax system and is designed for competitive racing and performance-oriented training without fluorocarbon wax chemistry.
