Description & Features
The POC Arctic SL 360 MIPS Helmet is a dedicated slalom race helmet designed to protect racers through aggressive gate training and competition. MIPS Integra enhances rotational impact protection, while a multi-impact EPP liner and VPD inserts at the back of the helmet provide additional protection for the repeated impacts encountered on a slalom course. The helmet includes the Maxilla Breakaway Chin Guard for face protection through the gates.
A 360° Fit System uses turnwheel adjustment to create a secure, comfortable fit without changing the padding, while adjustable ventilation lets racers manage airflow as conditions change. The durable dual-material PC/ABS shell is built for regular race use, and a Fidlock® buckle is easy to operate with gloves. Because of its soft ear construction, the Arctic SL 360 MIPS is intended for slalom and does not meet FIS RH 2013 requirements for GS, Super-G, or downhill competition.

Construction & Technology
MIPS Integra
MIPS Integra is integrated into the helmet to help reduce rotational motion transferred to the head during certain angled impacts, adding rotational impact protection for the quick, dynamic movements and falls encountered in slalom racing.
360° Fit System
The 360° adjustment system uses a turnwheel to provide a secure fit around the entire head without requiring padding changes. Racers can fine-tune the helmet for stability and comfort before training or stepping into the start.
Multi-Impact EPP Liner
The expanded polypropylene (EPP) liner provides multi-impact protection, making it well-suited to the repeated demands of slalom training and competition.
Dual-Material Shell
The injected PC/ABS shell balances strength and durability, providing a resilient outer structure designed to withstand regular race training and competition.
VPD Inserts
VPD inserts positioned between the helmet shell and liner help absorb forces from repeated impacts, including contact encountered while skiing through slalom gates. This helps preserve the EPP liner for its primary protective role during a fall.
Adjustable Ventilation
Adjustable ventilation allows racers to regulate airflow through the helmet, providing greater control over comfort during warm training sessions, course inspection, and changing weather conditions.
Fidlock® Buckle
The Fidlock® buckle provides a secure closure that is easy to operate while wearing ski gloves, simplifying fastening during race-day preparation.
Maxilla Breakaway Chin Guard
The included detachable Maxilla Breakaway Chin Guard provides face protection for slalom racing and features an adjustable breakaway design intended to help reduce potential injury to the neck or face during certain impacts.
